Jamaican jumper Odaine Lewis adds silver to his long jump bronze after finishing second in the Men’s triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at historic Hayward Field, Oregon, USA a short while ago.
The Texas Tech University junior leaped to a personal best 16.73 metres to finish just .06m behind winner Tahar Triki (16.79m).
The mark surpasses his previous best of 16.40m set at the BIG12 Conference Championships in May.
Lewis, full of confidence from his long jump bronze medal performance on Wednesday, hit the mark on his penultimate attempt, jumping from 5th to 2nd place.

His compatriots Clayton Brown (16.10m) and Jordan Scott (15.96m) finished 8th and 10th respectively. The other Jamaican in the field, O’brien Wasome, the Indoor National champion, did not compete.
