NCAA Championships: Natalliah Whyte wins Silver in Women’s 100m, Jonielle Smith 4th

Jamaican sprinter Natalliah Whyte won silver in the Women’s 100 metres finals at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at historic Hayward Field, Oregon, USA a short while ago.

The University of Auburn sophomore clocked 11.24 in driving rain to finish second behind race favourite Alei Hobbs, who won with 11.01.

Whyte’s teammate and compatriot Jonielle Smith was nicked out of a top 3 finish by .01 seconds finishing 4th (11.40) behind USC’s Twanisha Terry (11.39)
