Jamaican thrower Kevin Nedrick is the 2019 NJCAA Indoor Championships shot put national champion.
The Barton County Community College sophomore won his first collegiate national title with a best heave of 18.14 metres.
He beat the field by well over one metre with Jeremiah Johann the best of the rest (16.92m).
The mark is a new personal best for Nedrick surpassing his previous best of 18.02m done last season.
It is the best throw in the NJCAA this season and the second best of all time in Barton CC program history.
