Barbadian prodigy Jonathan Jones’ continues to set the track alight in his first collegiate season as he clocked the second fastest 400 metres time in the NCAA.
The University of Texas freshman broke the facility and meet record to win at the Texas Tech Shootout in Lubbock.
The 45.38 shaved almost a full second off of his previous personal best 46.21 ran last week at the Clemson Invitational two weeks ago.

Only University of Houston senior Obi Igbokwe, who clocked 45.35 at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational, has run faster at the college level and in the world this season.
It is also the second fastest in Longhorn history and lowers his own Barbados Indoor National record.
